GABF Excursion

Enjoy the world's largest brewery convension in downtown Denver while staying at an historic hotel in the heart of the city.
If you love beer then this is the place to be in September. This excursion includes an historic Denver hotel and two sessions at GABF (The Great American Beer Festival), tours of local breweries and extras, complete with directions and tickets for using public transportation (no drinking and driving for our clients!).

San Francisco Brewery Excursion

Cruise by rail on the Amtrak California Zephyr from Denver to San Francisco where you will stay in an historic hotel in the heart of the city.
Don't let the travel to a destination be something to endure. Take the California Zephyr from Denver to San Francisco! This is one of the most scenic cross-country trains in North America. There is no 3 oz limit on liquids so you can take a cooler of Colorado brew on board to enjoy on the way out and fill it up with all of your great brewery finds for the ride back home. Ever since its inception, this route has been timed, not for rapid transportation, but for the beauty of the country. Heading west out of Denver in the early morning takes you through the Rockies during the day. Some of the sights, like spectacular Gore Canyon, can only be seen by hikers, kayakers or from the train. The Zephyr crosses the desert at night and into the Sierra Nevada Mountains the next morning. The ride over Donner Pass provides better views of Donner Lake from the domed observation car than you can get from the highway. Envision sitting in the dome car or you private roomette, watching the beautiful scenery and sipping a great brew! This excursion includes an historic San Francisco hotel and Tim's Tips on many local breweries, brewpubs and taverns, complete with directions using public transportation (no drinking and driving for our clients!).

Wine Country Excursion

Cruise by rail on the Amtrak Califorina Zepher to the Napa/Sonoma wine country.

Glenwood Getaway

Relaxing ride, beautiful scenery, hot springs and a brewery!
Take the historic California Zephyr from Denver to Glenwood Springs through some of the most scenic part of the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy remote Fraser Canyon with some of the best trout fishing you can find. Watch the rafters negotiate the Class V whitewater of Gore Canyon, which is roadless and inaccessible except by rail or kayak. See the breathtaking high cliffs of Glenwood Canyon, a rugged, scenic gorge on the Colorado River. Stay at the Hotel Denver, just across the street from the train station, with Glenwood Canyon Brewing Co. right in the building! The Glenwood Hot Springs are just a short walk across the highway where you can enjoy a variety of swimming and spa facilities. For a weekend or a week, this is a great way to escape the winter cold in the Hot Springs or the summer heat in the cool mountains!
